Walk MS at Devon

Join the MS Society for a two mile
walk on the grounds of The Devon Horse Show and
Country Fair
. The site opens at 9 am  and the walk kick-off
begins at 10am.

The historic horse show was founded in 1896 and is the site of the oldest
multi-breed horse show in the United States. It is where champions against MS
meet to take action and do something about MS NOW.  The walk kicks off
inside the Dixon Oval at the horse show grounds and the route travels through
the streets of beautiful Easttown Township with a festive rest stop at Devon
Elementary School. At the finish line, take your team photo under the famous
gateway reading "Where Champions Meet." Enjoy music, refreshments and
fun-filled activities for the whole family.

What is MS? -

Multiple
sclerosis (MS) involves an immune-mediated
process
in which an abnormal response of the body’s immune system is
directed against the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the
brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. The exact antigen — or target that the immune
cells are sensitized to attack — remains unknown, which is why MS is considered
by many experts to be "immune-mediated" rather than
"autoimmune.
