Girl Scout Cookie Sales Begin

Find the cookie booth nearest to you.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern PA (GSEP) began sales of their famous cookies on Jan. 16, and will continue cookie sales through March 9.

In addition to providing cookie-lovers with that special ‘only comes around once a year’ feeling, the program also gives participating Girl Scouts the chance to hone five important life skills: goal setting, money management, business ethics, people skills and decision making.

The cost for a box of cookies is $4 and there are two new cookie flavors available this year – the Cranberry Citrus Crisp and the gluten-free Chocolate Chip Shortbread (GSEP has partnered with the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness to promote the new gluten-free cookie). Also available for 2014 will be the mainstays: Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Thanks-A-Lot, Lemonades and Peanut Butter Sandwiches.
