Volunteers Work on Ithan Elementary Bird Gardens

Radnor Bird Town is working with the elementary schools to maintain and improve the Bird Gardens at each school, with emphasis on using mostly native plants in the gardens.

The gardens were originally installed with the help of Audubon PA, The Radnor Education Foundation and The Radnor Conservancy.

Radnor Bird Town arranged for compost to be delivered by the township to each of the schools.

Ithan Elementary School scheduled a volunteer day for  Green Apple Day of Service, September 28, to spread the compost and do other maintenance in their garden.  

Radnor Bird Town was at the event to lend a hand.
