Paying it Forward- American style
Paying it forward- one charitable act can save many lives
Today, we contacted one of our patients. Several years ago, her community helped her raise close to $100,000 for uninsured medical expenses related to an experimental stem cell treatment. For unforseen reasons, she did not need the funds and she is excited (and healthy and happy) that they will help others who need transplant related expenses paid or who are recovering from a catastrophic injury.
Fantastic...still the need is great!
