Radnor Home Sales Up in November

The houses that sold stayed on the market nearly three weeks shorter than last year.

Radnor Township home sales in November were up from the same month last year by 7.1 percent.

According to a Home Market report from Prudential Fox and Roach Realtors, 15 properties changed hands in the township during November this year. In 2010 that number was 14; in 2009 it was 24.

Compared with the same month last year, Radnor fared sixth percentage-wise out of nine Main Line municipalities included in the report.

(Newtown Township performed best with a 160 percent increase, and Lower Merion Township performed the worst with a 30.2 percent decrease.)

The median price of a home sold in Radnor increased from $479,000 last November to $500,000 this November.

The average days on the market for homes that did sell in Radnor this November decreased 24.1 percent from 108 to 82 days, according to the Prudential Fox and Roach report.

Over the first six months of the year Radnor properties were when compared with last year.
