So Many Classes! How to Decide?

At Main Line School Night the spring semester is kicking into high gear!

Spring Break may be approaching for college students, but at Main Line School Night the semester is just kicking into high gear. There are so many exciting and new classes and the best part: no mid-terms or final exams! Here a few of the many classes beginning in the next few weeks.

In Cusinarts: Baking Made Easy, learn how to use your trusty Cusinart (or Kitchenaid) to make luscious scones, biscuits, cookies and more. How about a speedy pizza dough with all the trimmings? Just a few simple ingredients and the right techniques will have you baking these delicious treats in no time. This 2 week class begins Friday, March 15 at 11:30 at the Creutzburg Center.

Ever wish you could make the scrumptious dumplings you get in a restaurant at home? In Hand Made Dumplings, former restaurant owner Yoon Lee will show you how to fold and make a variety of different dumpling: meat and vegetarian, traditional and modern, steamed, pan fried and deep fried. This class takes place on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 pm at Harriton High School.

For the crafty jewelry lover,  in Jewelry Design: Shamballa Bracelet, spend an evening making a macramé and beaded Shamballa-style bracelet, like those worn by celebrities and you just may discover it brings you “peace, tranquility and happiness” when you wear it. This class takes place on Wednesday, Match 20 at 6:30 pm at Harriton High School.

Thinking about updating your home’s interiors but not quite sure where to begin? In Interior Design: Discover Your Personal Style, you will take a style survey to help you discover which materials, design elements, colors and spaces resonate with you. This one session class takes place Wednesday, March 20 at 6pm at Harriton High School.

If history and culture is your passion, consider Rise of the Renaissance in Italy: History, People and Culture. Examine the people of Florence, Siena, Milan, Venice and Rome, as well as the advent of humanism, developments in art and new trends in thought as reflected in the works of Machiavelli. This 6 week class starts Wednesday, March 20 at 11 am at the Creutzburg Center.

A perfect way to mark the official beginning of spring is to plan and plant a beautiful garden. In Gardening with Perennials, learn how to transform your garden into a year-round visual kaleidoscope of colors and textures. Discuss gardening for birds and butterflies, creating a fragrant garden, and using plants for multi season interest. This 4 week class begins Thursday, March 21 at 9:45 am at the Creutzburg Center.
