3 Important things to staying happy and healthy:  1.  Diet and Nutrition; 2.  Regular physical activity 3.  A good night's sleep.

Follow a diet rich in nutrients-the nourishing substances in food-including grains, vegetables, fruits, milk, meat and beans.  As we grow older, we need decreased calories, vitamins and minerals, calcium, water and a well-balanced diet and supplements if requirements not met by diet.

Regular activity promotes independence, prevents and delays some diseases and helps drepression and relieves stress.  Lack of physical activity and poor nutrition are the second greatest underlying cause of death in the US.

Sleep patterns change as we age.  50% of people over 65 complain of a sleep issue such as insominia or another sleep disorder.  Not sleeping well can be the result of poor sleep habits, stress, sleep disorders, retirement, and pain.
