Curtis Students Come to Villanova
Experience the sounds and talents of Curtis Institue of Music students in Villanova while enjoying wine and cheese
Christ Church Ithan in Villanova is pleased to host two concerts in May featuring students from the Curtis Institute of Music.
On Sunday, May 5 at 4:00 p.m. a variety of opera selections will be performed. Praised for her “luminous voice” and “intensely expressive interpretations,” (The New York Times) soprano Sarah Shafter will sing with classmate Sean Michael Plumb who is hailed for his “full resonant baritone voice.” (Forbes).

will play Bach’s Partita no. 1 in Bflat Major, Schumann’s Kreisleriana op. 16 and works by Ravel and Rachmaninoff. She is described as a “colorist who can charm, and an athletic powerhouse who can sweep the listener off his or her feet.”
