The Checking for Cancer (CFC) charity event has raised over $180,000 in the past five years, with all event profits allocated to cancer research. Last year, The Haverford School raised $30,000, distributing the proceeds among the following charities: Cuddle My Kids, Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson, Bringing Hope Home and Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.

“We are extremely excited to be hosting the girls games for the Checking For Cancer Lacrosse Invitational this year, and to be part of such a wonderful and worthwhile cause,” said Agnes Irwin Athletic Director Sheila Pauley. “Our hope is that while helping to raise awareness of colorectal, prostate and testicular cancer, it will also be a great day of lacrosse action with many of the top teams competing.”
