The Main Line Antiques Show November 17 and 18

Details about The Main Line Antiques Show benefiting Surrey Services for Seniors at the Radnor Valley Country Club.

It is just over one week away to The Main Line Antiques Show, to benefit Surrey Services for Seniors, held at the Radnor Valley Country Club at 555 Sproul Road, Villanova. This years theme Main Line Interiors. About 30 leading antique dealers from the East coast and Mid-West are on their way to Radnor Township and the Main Line to exhibit their merchandise. Many of these exhibit at the prestigious Philadelphia Antiques Show in the Spring and use this as an opportunity to meet clients they know from there in the fall.

The show is open November 17th from 10 am to 5 pm and 18th from 11 am to 5 pm. The opening night party is November 16th from 6 pm to 9 pm with early admission at 5.00 pm for sponsors, benefactors and patrons; tickets for the opening night party are priced from $100 per person and attending the opening night party allows you entrance throughout the show and to the lecture series other than the Brunch lecture on Sunday morning which carries an additional charge.

Saturday at 1 pm Jeff Groff, Director of Public Programs at Winterthur Museum is speaking on Interiors: Inside-Out Notable Main Line Interiors 1875-1935, included in the cost of admission

Sunday for $20 enjoy Brunch before the show at 10 am and listen to Leslie Hayes of Leslie Hayes Interiors present Balanced Interiors, Past and Present: In Your Own Style and admission to the show

Then at 2 pm on Sunday An Inside View, Decorating at Ardrossan: Inspiration Then and Now by Barbara Eberlein ASID of Eberlein Design Consultants Ltd included in the cost of admission

After listening to a lecture, wander the floor of the show, select and purchase some items for your home, remembering that antiques are Green and often a worthwhile investment when held over a period of time as well as being useful in decorating your home. You don't need to decorate the whole house with antiques, but can use accent pieces, either a piece of art, a chest of drawers, a chair, some wonderful sculptural porcelain or some embroidery to lift a room from the ordinary to the extraordinary.

We look forward to seeing you at the show, admission is $12 for November 17th and 18th and this price also gives admission to the lectures on a first come first serve basis, reservations are required for the Sunday Brunch lecture for which there is a $20 admission fee that covers brunch, the Sunday morning lecture and includes admission to the show.

Brochures are available around the area that offer a $2.00 discount on the general admission price, look for them in libraries, nail salons, hotels, or pick one up at Surrey Services for Seniors at 28 Bridge Avenue in Berwyn.
