Chanticleer Receives the PHS Distinguished Achievement Award

WAYNE, PA – The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society presented the Distinguished Achievement Award to Chanticleer on November 12, 2013 at the PHS Awards Celebration and Recognition Event at the College of the Physicians of Philadelphia. The award is presented each year to an individual or organization that has made outstanding contributions to the field of public horticulture, or has had a positive impact on PHS programs and activities.

PHS President, Drew Becher quotes, “Chanticleer is most deserving of this PHS award, and in so many way epitomizes what a public garden should be: welcoming visitors for near and far, inspiring home gardeners to try new plants and color combinations in their back yards, and furthering the education of professional horticulturists.”
