I live near but not in Charlestown Township. It is a township that has made a concerted effort to keep as much open space and land as possible, as many historical buildings as possible, and as many habitats as possible. There are beautiful trails to hike, healthy habitats with some rare species living on them, hopefully forever, farm coops full of organic food, and space. It is a treasure of a place, people want to live there, and visit there, all because of this preservation. I hope those who weigh the future of this lovely land can come visit Charlestown some day, and then make a decision. More crowded roads and developments don't always give the outcomes you think they might. I will always be thankful to live near Charlestown, because where I live, there is no more space, and it is a less desirable place for this very reason.
