Sean Moir: The Revolutionary War In Our Area
Moir combines his software and geographic information skills for this presentation
At Radnor Memorial Library, on Tuesday, February 5 @ 7:30pm, the Library and Radnor Historical Society are hosting a very interesting program involving groundbeaking animated battle maps.
Sean Moir will present an animated map of local Revolutionary War troop movements, including Washington's route after the Battle of Brandywine from Philadelphia through Radnor, which eventually led to the Paoli Massacre. The map will allow the audience to follow the British and American armies hour-by-hour. Moir combines his software and geographic information system skills with his personal interest in history to create his groundbreaking animated battle maps. Moir places heavy emphasis on mapping the cultural landscape upon which fighting and marching occurred.
We've heard some great comments from folks who have seen Sean's presentation and can't wait to see this for ourselves. I think it's worth putting on your woolies and heading over to Radnor Library on Tuesday night.
