Social Security turned 75 years old this year, having paid its first beneficiaries in 1937. It was conceived under the Social Security Act of 1935 and was established to provide an income to those who had worked and were at least 65 years old. Since then, Social Security has expanded and become quite complex...and complicated, to say the least, as people are living longer and often retiring earlier.
Come to the Radnor Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 24, at 7:00 pm, and participate in an informative course that will be an overview on the complex subject of Social Security. Tips, techniques and tactics will be reviewed to maximize Social Security benefits. The course presenter is Jim Ernst, a founding partner of the Mangan, Ernst & Rankin Wealth Management Group of Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC, located here in Radnor Township.
