1 in 3 Radnor Burglaries Solved, Police Say

Charges have been laid in 34 percent of 2013 burglaries, according to police.

Radnor Police have laid charges against people in 34 percent of burglaries that have taken place in Radnor this year, according to police.

Some of the burglaries that you may have read about on Radnor Patch have been deemed "cleared," using police terminology, Lt. Andrew Block said. Some of those are:

Jorge Cruz, 46, of N. Randolph Street in Philadelphia, was arrested on multiple burglary charges by Lower Merion Police, who say that Cruz burgled home there and one in the Bryn Mawr section of Radnor Township.

Daniel Eberly, 27, of Claymont, Del. and Gregory Karamedas, 68, of Wilmington, Del. were each charged with the burglary of two Sproul Road homes in February.

Herbert Thornton, 58, of Upper Darby, tripped an alarm when he tried to break into a home in the 500 block of Chandler Lane in Villanova in February, Block said.

As of last week, Block said that there were 15 residential burglaries reported so far this year in Radnor; 14 reported within the same time period last year.
