A Diner's Wallet Is Lifted And More Radnor Thefts

See some of the crimes that took place last week in Radnor.

Watch your wallet when dining out

A woman dining at in Villanova reported that three credit cards were taken out of her purse while she was dining there on May 23.

The theft was captured on security camera. A witness said he saw two men sitting in the table next to the victim. One of the men was “virtually back-to-back” with her.

The witness said he saw the removal of the purse, but thought it belonged to one of the men, because one of them had had a bag with him.

Within an hour of the theft, thousands of dollars of charges had taken place on her cards, including at the Apple store at the King of Prussia Mall.

Cash stolen from car

A resident of the 300 block of Belrose Lane in Radnor reported that sometime during the night of Thursday May 17 into 18 someone stole about $370 in cash from their unlocked car. A tin of pennies valued at about $30 was also taken.

 

Fence stolen

A resident of the 800 block of County Line Road in Bryn Mawr reported that between Sunday May 20 and Tuesday May 22 someone stole a green metal fence from the side of the building.

 

Money stolen at Eastern

A woman reported that while she was in the Eastern University library at 10:30 a.m. on May 22, someone stole cash and her bank card out of her purse, which she left unattended for ten minutes.

 

Theft of equipment

A paving business in the 400 block of Maplewood Road in Wayne reported that sometime over the weekend of May 19-20, someone stole three manhole covers, four steel drains, and ten old brake rotors.

 

Stolen bike

Someone reported that their BMX bike was stolen from the Wayne Train Station sometime around May 14.
