Convicted Starbucks Robber Sentenced
The victim's family gave a statement before the court.
Hassan Grimes, the Delaware County man convicted of robbing a woman at gunpoint behind a , was sentenced on March 1, in the chambers of Judge James T. Bradley, in a Delaware County Court House in Media.
According to Assistant District Attorney, Erica Parham, the victim of the May, 2011 robbery, attended the sentencing accompanied by her husband and her father. During the hearing, her husband gave a “heartfelt” victim’s impact statement, before the court.
Judge Bradley sentenced Hassan Grimes to a minimum of six years, three months to a maximum of 12 years, six months.

The itemized charges are as follows:
Robbery: 5-10 years at a state correctional institute followed by five years consecutive state probation.

Access Device Fraud: 15-30 months at a state correctional institute followed by two years consecutive state probation, the mandatory minimum applicable sentence;
Unlawful Restraint: 15-30 months at a state correctional institute followed by two years consecutive state probation to run consecutive to the sentence imposed on the Robbery charge and 6-12 months to run concurrent to the Robbery sentence.
