Teen Confesses to Domino's Armed Robbery

An 18-year-old from Pottstown robbed the Wayne pizza shop with a BB gun Aug. 3.

Adam Robert David, 18, the alleged perpetrator of the robbery that took place at on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, has confessed to the crime, according to the Radnor Township Police Department.

David, a Pottstown resident, was also involved in a similar robbery in Upper Providence Township, and has also confessed to that crime, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney. 

He was taken into custody Aug. 4 at 5:50 p.m. at the Coventry Mall in North Coventry Township, Chester County.

David was arraigned Aug. 5 on the charges of Robbery (point of gun), Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing Instruments of a Crime, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Receiving Stolen Property, and Terroristic Threats.

The Radnor Police Department worked with the Upper Providence Police Department in Montgomery County to develop David as a suspect.

Police said at an Aug. 4 press conference that David's former girlfriend lives in the area and that he had been unemployed for some time.

According to police, at about 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 3, he entered Domino's Pizza, walked behind the sales counter and announced a robbery while brandishing a BB gun with a blued steel frame. Police say he then ordered an employee to empty all cash from the register and safe into a bag.
