Attempted Burglary Tuesday in Villanova

Police believe an alarm activation prevented further entry.

Someone tried to break into a home in the 500 block of Chandler Lane just off of Sproul Road (Rt. 320) in the Villanova section of Radnor Township on Tuesday, according to Radnor Police.

Police received a burglar alarm activation at 1:20 p.m. for the home. Upon arrival, officers discovered a front window open and a foot print on a sofa inside the window. It is believed the alarm activation scared the would-be burglar or burglars away. It does not appear that anything was taken from the house.
