Burglary, Theft From Cars Over The Weekend

More than 16 cars were broken into Friday night in Garrett Hill.

A burglary in the 200 block of Radnor-Chester Road took place around 11 p.m. on Friday, June 22. According to Radnor Township Police Department, the side entry door to the home was forced open.

More than 16 cars were broken into on Summit Terrace and Wentworth Lane in the Garrett Hill section of Radnor Township overnight between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. on June 22 and 23.

The majority of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the thefts, according to the Radnor Township Police Department.

There were also car break-ins in North Wayne during the evening and overnight hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. on June 21 and 22.

During that time, four cars were entered and had small items such as change and electronic devices removed. There was also a bicycle taken from inside a garage in the North Wayne Section.

Radnor Police wish to remind all residents, visitors and vehicle owners to take the following vehicle security precautions:

  • Lock your vehicle at all times, especially when unoccupied.
  • Avoid leaving valuable items in your vehicle.
  • If items are left conceal them in a trunk, a covered vanity case or under a seat.
  • Never leave you vehicle running unattended.
  • Never leave the keys to the ignition or your residence in the vehicle.
  • Report any suspicious people or activities.
