Reports: Burglary And Thefts From Mid-May

Racing bicycles have become a recent target for thefts.

Here are the reports of a burglary and some of the thefts that took place recently in Radnor Township, according to police incident reports.

Suspect doesn’t want to talk about it

A home in the 400 block of King of Prussia Road in Radnor was broken into on Monday, May 14. A ladder was used by someone to get to a second floor balcony went in through a sliding glass door.

Two laptop computers, an iPad, jewelry and a Ford F350 (valued at $6,000) were taken.

According to the police report, the police have a suspect they tried to contact, but “he showed no interest in discussing the matter.”

Stolen out of cars

A resident of the 500 block of St. Davids Avenue in Wayne reported that a Pinarello racing bike (like the one pictured) had been stolen from inside his car sometime between 8:40 on Wednesday, May 16 and the following morning. The car was locked, but the sunroof had been left open.

A resident of the 100 block of Charles Drive in Bryn Mawr reported that sometime during the night of May 16 into 17 someone broke into his car and took a GPS system. The thief broke one of the car windows to get in.

A resident of the 200 block of Charles Drive in Bryn Mawr reported that sometime during the night of May 16 into 17 someone broke into his car and stole an iPod from his locked car. The thief broke one of the car windows to get in.

A resident of Radcliff House Apartments in the 1000 block of Conestoga Road in Rosemont reported that a car stereo and auxiliary cables were stolen out of his locked car sometime during the night of May 16 into 17. The thief broke one of the car windows to get in.

 

Other thefts

A student reported May 17 that his iPhone was stolen from an unlocked gym locker during gym class on March 16.

A breaker box and flagstone pieces were stolen from a vacant property in the unit block of Kinterra Road in Wayne, it was reported on May 14.
