'Career Criminals' Caught in Villanova Facing Deportation

The man and woman have so many different aliases, law enforcement and immigration officials are calling them by different names.

A residential burglary on County Line Road in Villanova on Tuesday that was thwarted by a neighbor was the work of "career criminals," Radnor Police say.

The woman, who police say broke into the home on Tuesday and ran out with a pillowcase full of jewelry, has more than a dozen aliases. Although Radnor Police still officially calling them Jane and Joe Doe, even when they appear in court next week, they got what they think are their real names from a 2007 New York arrest.

According to Detective T.J. Schreiber of the Radnor Police Department, the Nassau County law enforcement officials said the names are Ana Nowak, age 53, and Zdzislaw Kazienko, 62.

According to Radnor Police, Kazienko was driving the get-away car on Tuesday after the apparent burglary.

When asked about the couple, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) gave Radnor Patch different names for the two.

An ICE spokesperson released this comment: "ICE has lodged detainers against both Rozalia and Josef Packowski. After local charges are fully adjudicated, they will be turned over to ICE and placed in removal proceedings."

The spokesperson would not comment further.

According to Schreiber, Nowak has had prior criminal charges against her in Florida, New Jersey, New York Ohio and Pennsylvania. Kazienko has had charges against him in those states, as well as in Michigan, Schrieber said.

He said he does not know the relationship between the two. Schreiber described them as "career criminals."

After they were arrested in Nassau County, NY, ICE placed detainers on them both, Schreiber said. But he said did not know what happened to them after that.

They are in Delaware County Prison on $100,000 cash bail.
