Crash on Old Eagle School Road Hospitalizes Three
Three passengers, one of whom was transported by helicopter to the University of Pennsylvania, were in the crash Thursday night.
There was a one-car accident at approximately 10 p.m. Thursday night on Old Eagle School Road in Tredyffrin Township.
Two of the passengers were transported by ambulance to Paoli Memorial Hospital and the third was medevaced to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As of 12:30 a.m. on Friday, no information was available as to their conditions.
According to police, the vehicle, a red four-door Saturn sedan, was traveling southbound in a 45 mph zone on Old Eagle School Road when, as it approached Pugh Road, it swerved into the northbound lane and flipped on its side and into a shallow ditch on the northbound side of the road.

When emergency personnel arrived, the car was resting on its passenger side and the front bumper was facing Old Eagle School Road.
Chief Jim Kelly of the Radnor Fire Company said that when he arrived on the scene approximately five minutes after the accident, two of the passengers had already exited the vehicle and were sitting on the side of the road.

Emergency personnel used the Jaws of Life to remove the third passenger before a helicopter transported him to HUP.
Kelly estimated that each of the passengers were males and in their early twenties.
