Cyclist Injured in Radnor Crash

Both motorist and cyclist were issued motor vehicle violations.

A cyclist was seriously injured after he and a box truck crashed at a Wayne intersection.

According to Radnor Police, on the afternoon of March 2, a man riding a bike and a man driving a box truck met at the intersection of Sinkler Drive and Iven Avenue.There is a three-way stop sign there.

The cyclist was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by Pennstar. The 42-year-old Devon resident is home now and recovering from his injuries.

Both the truck driver, a 32-year-old man from New Jersey, and the cyclist were issued motor vehicle violations for failing to come to a stop.

"We always ask people to drive with as much caution as possible," said Sgt. Chris Flanagan.

Flanagan said that the helmet the cyclist was wearing probably save his life.
