Were you one of the people stuck in traffic on King of Prussia Road in Radnor during evening rush hour on Thursday, Sept. 27?
That evening Radnor Police, with help from the Delaware County Central Region SWTA Team, were serving a warrant for a man renting in the 400 block of King of Prussia Road.
The warrant was from New Jersey. According to Lt. Andy Block of Radnor Police, the man had made threats against a police department in New Jersey over a custody dispute involving his children.
Block said the man made numerous threats on Sept. 26 in the vein of "he's going to be coming" and "people should get their guns." The SWAT team, and the precaution to close a lane of traffic, were because of the possibility that the man, who rented a home there, was armed.
William Gibson, 36, was cooperative with police during the incident, Block said. He was remanded to Delaware County Prison awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
