iPhone Pinched While Charging in Wayne Store

  • An iPhone valued at $500 was stolen from Anthropologie in Wayne at about 3:15 on Friday, March 15. According to a police report, the victim plugged her phone into an electrical outlet at the back of the store to charge the phone while she shopped.
  • A resident of Ramblewood Drive in Bryn Mawr is wondering who is making hundreds of dollars in calls to Mexico and Guatemala with her daughter's cell phone. According to a police report, the cell phone disappeared from her home in January, although it had not been used since September 2012. The victim discovered a $949.61 bill for February and a $2,189.58 bill due for March and called the provider.
  • A Valley Forge Military Academy cadet reported March 16 that his wallet was stolen out of his room sometime between 4 p.m. on March 15 and 11 a.m. on March 16. There was no forced entry to his room, the cadet said, and numerous people were in and out of the room during that time.
  • A resident of County Line Road in Bryn Mawr reported that someone took about $1 in loose change from his unlocked car during the night of March 14. Several electronic items in the car were not taken, police noted.
  • A resident of North Wayne Avenue reported March 13 that as he was unlocking his car he noticed a scratch and pry marks next to the driver's side handle.
  • A resident of Willow Avenue in Wayne reported that his home was struck with several eggs on Wednesday, March 13.
