Is Trespasser Linked to Recent Villanova Thefts?

Residents of the Old Oaks neighborhood near Villanova University witnessed a manhunt Tuesday night.

That evening, Villanova’s Public Safety called Radnor Police for the report of a possible trespassing. When police entered the university’s sports complex, they saw a man who ran away from them.

He ran towards Garrett Hill and was eventually found near the Radnor House condominiums, according to Lt. Christopher Flanagan.

Police dogs were used in the chase.

The Philadelphia man, whom Flanagan said had lived locally before, has been charged with trespassing, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and violating probation.

Police and Villanova are investigating whether the man is involved with a number of recent thefts from Villanova’s athletic facilities.
