Man With Pot Cigar Resists Arrest, Police Say

Read about two recent marijuana busts in Radnor.

Two 20-year-old men from Villanova were in a car pulled over by police on County Line Road at Braxton Road in Villanova around 11:30 p.m. on March 13.

The driver was charged with underage drinking, DUI, using a false ID and violating traffic control devices, according to a police report. The passenger, who at first refused to identify himself police said, refused to get out of the car, even after police told him it would be towed.

Two police officers removed the "passive resister" from the car, and afterward found a marijuana-filled cigar in his pocket and a fake ID, according to the report. The passenger was charged with underage drinking, using a false ID, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing the law.

Teens Found Smoking Pot Near Elementary, Police Say

Three teenagers were arrested around 5:15 p.m. on March 11 near Ithan Elementary School on Haymarket Lane in Bryn Mawr. According to a police report, the three were seen walking on a path leading to the school property.

The three were found by police in the woods behind the school with marijuana, rolling papers and a pot grinder, police say. The charges were not included in the police report.
