Police Briefs: Harassment, Road Rage

Read about some of the crimes reported last week in Radnor.

Road Rage

A 51-year-old Havertown man became enraged after cars passed his car while he was in traffic on Sept. 12 at the intersection of Sproul Road and Lancaster Avenue. According to a police report, the man was having difficulty getting through a construction zone. When some cars behind his passed him, the victims said he “became enraged” and left his car waiving a two by four piece of wood. The man was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

Theft

A Trek bicycle valued at $500 was stolen sometime between Sept. 3 and 10 out of a garage in the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue.

A Villanova University-issued laptop computer valued at $1,000 was stolen from a classroom in Tolentine Hall on Sept. 11 between 7 and 8 p.m.

 

A laptop valued at $1,500, two textbooks and a calculator were in a backpack that was stolen from Villanova University’s Dougherty Hall between Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. and the following day.

 

Harassment

A mother and son who live in the 800 block of Conestoga Road in Rosemont reported to police that the son’s ex-girlfriend was harassing them on Facebook.com. A police officer called the woman and told her not to have any more contact with them, according to an incident report.

 

A 63-year-old Wayne man faces stalking and harassment charges stemming from incidents with his former roommate on Lantoga Road. According to police reports, the man was also in violation of a “protection from abuse” order when he contacted the woman in person and by phone calls and texts.

 

A 21-year-old Eastern University student contact police after receiving harassing messages from a 25-year-old man for one year. According to a police report, a police officer told the man that he will have criminal charges filed against him if he sends any more messages to her.
