Deposit Bag Disappears

A bank deposit bag containing about $2,400 was discovered missing from in Wayne on Aug. 14. According to a police report, a “person of interest” was named.

The Italian Job

About $1,000 worth of jewelry, scarves and handbags was stolen from a front step of a home in the 200 block of Walnut Avenue in Wayne. The package had been mailed from Italy to Wayne on Aug. 14 and was last seen on Aug. 16 or 17.

 

Bike Theft

A homeowner in the 700 block of Conestoga Road in Villanova reports that an Iron Horse mountain bike valued at $500 was taken from a garage sometime before Aug. 13.

 

Oklahoma Walmart

A resident of Knox Road in Villanova reported that more than $1,100 had been charged on a credit card at a Walmart store in Oklahoma.

 

Missing the IRS

A resident of Poplar Avenue in Wayne reports that she has not yet received her income tax refund for 2011 and is reporting it so the IRS can investigate.

 

Road Block

A large, red metal gate that is used to block the private road Beechwood Drive in Rosemont was taken sometime during the night of Aug. 24.

 

Sandwich Stealer

A 25-year-old from Glenolden in Delaware County was cited for retail theft after he was seen putting two drinks and a sandwich into a bag without paying for it on Aug. 23 at the . Another man got away with a drink and sandwich before staff got the chance to stop him.
