Simple Assault

Paul Hayes, 78, of Wayne was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident on July 9 in the 100 block of Midland Avenue in Wayne.

Theft

  • A laptop computer valued at $1,200 and a GPS system were taken from a car parked at the Radwyn Apartments in Bryn Mawr. According to the police report, sometime between 8 p.m. on July 9 and 8 a.m. the following day, someone smashed one of the car’s windows and took the items.

 

  • More than $8,000 in textbooks was stolen from the Villanova University store after an inventory check, it was reported July 11. The theft likely occurred in the two weeks prior to the report. The missing books are Financial Reporting & Statement Analysis and International Financial Management.

 

  • A woman, 50, of Chesterbrook, has been charged with theft after police say she stole two bottles of Champagne and one bottle of Scotch from the Wine and Spirits store in Villanova on July 11.

 

  • A 70-year-old woman from Rosemont was cited with theft after police say she attempted to steal $57.95 worth of goods from TJ Maxx on July 12.

 

  • A bicycle valued at $450 was stolen from the Radnor R-5 train station in July 12. The Trek mountain bike had been chained to a fence at 7:30 a.m.; it was discovered missing at 6 p.m.
