Police Briefs: Thefts from Homes, Stores

Read about recent thefts in Radnor.

The following information is provided by Radnor Police Department incident reports.

  • A resident of Pembroke Avenue in St. Davids recently reported jewelry missing from her home. It is not known how long the items have been missing, and there is no sign of a break-in to the home.
  • Two flower urns valued at $400 were reported stolen from the corner of South Lowry’s Lane and Meredith Avenue in Garrett Hill during the night of Dec. 9. The plants that were in the pots were left on the ground.
  • A 22-year-old woman from Rosemont was charged with theft after illegally accessing two people’s bank accounts and withdrawing $400 from each.
  • A Wayne woman reports that her wallet was stolen out of her purse while it was left unattended at the Radnor Memorial Library on Dec. 11.
  • A decorative mirror and various articles of women’s clothing were reported stolen from a home on North Aberdeen Avenue on Dec. 13.
  • A Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued at $700 was stolen from St. Edmund’s Home in Rosemont during a staff party on Dec. 14.
  • A can of turtle food valued at $5.99 was stolen from Pet Valu in Wayne on Dec. 14.
  • An employee of So Fun Yogurt in Wayne had her wallet stolen out of her purse at the shop on Dec. 14. Police believe the same two men responsible for that crime also may have committed other thefts in the area that day.
  • A resident of Audubon Avenue in Wayne reported that someone stole a wreath and a spotlight and cord from his front lawn during the night of Dec. 14.
