Police briefs: Trash Dumping, Thefts

Read about some of the crimes that took place last week in Radnor.

Dumping trash

A West Chester resident has been cited for theft of services for dropping his trash off on the property of Radwyn Apartments on Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bryn Mawr.

According to a police report, the man stated that he used to live in the apartment complex. He said he dropped his trash off on his way to work because he did not want the trash at his house because of the heat.

Credit card lifted

A woman reported on July 3 that her debit card was stolen in Wayne. According to the police report, she used the card at Starbucks in Wayne, and when she could later not find it, she checked her account and someone had spent more than $500 at TJ Maxx in St. Davids.

 

Theft by employee

A now former employee of Staples in Villanova has been charged with 29 counts of theft. The 52-year-old Wayne man admitted to committing the thefts by making returns, which started in March, the police report states.
