Radnor Police are investigating two recent residential burglaries in the township.

On Friday, October 25 at 12:46 p.m. the Radnor Police responded to the 100 block of Ashwood Road in Villanova for a burglary in progress.

A neighbor saw a white man of medium build, approximately 20 to 30 years old wearing blue jeans and a dark colored shirt, dark brown hair with a "scruffy" beard walking from the home towards Ashwood Road carrying what appeared to be a pillow case.

The single family home had no signs of forced entry and appeared to be unlocked, according to police. Several items of jewelry were taken from bedrooms of the home.

The man disconnected and moved a large flat screen TV in an attempt to take it. The witness also saw the man get into a dark colored unknown make/model sedan that  exited on Ashwood Road towards North Spring Mill Road.

Also on October 25 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the 400 block of Midland Avenue in Wayne a resident reported that someone had tried to get into the house by a rear sliding door. The door was cracked open and off of its track.

A possible suspect vehicle, a blue Chevy pick-up truck, parked in the area of the 400 block of Midland Avenue around 9 a.m.
