Police: Knife-Wielding Man Said He 'Would Kill Someone'

A knife-wielding man and a woman robbed while in her car were crime alerts issued by Radnor Police this week.

A man wielding a knife and saying he "would kill someone" confronted employees of Braxton's Animal Works in the parking lot of the business on Sunday, Nov. 12 around 11 a.m., according to Radnor Police.

The man was described as a "young white male, beard, dark pants and sweatshirt" and displayed a silver-colored knife. After he was seen running towards Lancaster Avenue and Old Eagle School Road, police from Radnor, Easttown and Tredyffrin checked the area and found him near Braxton's.

Radnor Police took the man into custody and charged him with weapons and assault charges.

A woman's purse was stolen as she and her child sat in her car in the parking lot of 7-11 in Bryn Mawr around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10.

According to police, a white man in his 20's or 30's, with a skinny build, white/gray t-shirt and blue jeans approached her in the driver's side window and requested a cigarette to be lighted. The woman signaled "no" and the man walked away.

But soon after, the same man went around the 7-11 and then rushed the passenger side door, entering the car and taking her brown Coach Bag that included a wallet and other items. He was last seen running into the center of the Home Properties of Bryn Mawr, but was not found.
