Police: Men Used Stolen Gift Cards at Wawa

Two men reportedly used stolen gift cards to purchase more than $600 in cigarettes.

According to a police report, on Tuesday, July 3, two men at the on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne used two gift cards to purchase cigarettes. Both transactions were for $314.08.

Minutes later, an employee of the Wawa on Sugartown Road in Wayne encountered two men trying to purchase cigarettes with bad credit cards in that store.

According to the police report, the employee stated that the men "got suspicious" of the employee's activity and left the store.

The car the men were driving was a rental car from Hertz.
