Radnor Holding Informative Event for Senior Citizens

Local organizations will speak to seniors on scams often aimed at the elderly.

The Radnor Township Police Department is hosting a seminar for senior citizens on Wednesday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon in the township municipal building, 301 Iven Avenue in Wayne.

The topics that will be covered include scam emails and telephone scams that target the elderly and financial confidence scams like the fraudulent lottery.

Representatives from the police department, Wayne Senior Center, Delaware County Senior Victim Services, Delaware County Office of Aging and Surrey Services will attend the free event.

Registration is limited to 100 participants. Free transportation will be provided on a priority basis. To register, call Mary Ann Donnelly at 610-688-5606 x119.

The seminar will be taped and broadcast on Radnor's cable channel.
