Rash of Thefts from Cars Hits Radnor

Radnor Police are investigating a rash of thefts from cars throughout Radnor Township.

Radnor Police are investigating a rash of thefts from cars throughout Radnor Township.

Police advise residents and visitors to Radnor never to keep valuables in cars and to always keep car doors locked.

  • An iPod valued at $200 was stolen from a car in the 500 block of East Lancaster Avenue in St. Davids sometime during the night of Nov. 2. One of the car's windows had been smashed; that damaged was valued at $250.
  • While police were investigating the above crime at a condominium complex, an officer saw the trunk of another car standing open and computer equipment sitting next to the car. The owner said he did not leave the trunk open. Nothing appeared to be missing from the car, according to police.
  • About $5,500 worth of clothing and electronics was reported stolen out of a car parked in the parking lot of Radwyn Apartments on Bryn Mawr Avenue. The theft took place sometime during the night of Nov. 2. The car may have been left unlocked, according to police.
  • About $300 in rock climbing gear was reportedly stolen from a car parked in a parking lot in the 200 block of North Wayne Avenue sometime during the night of Nov. 7. The car may have been left unlocked, according to police.
  • Two unlocked cars on West Beechtree Lane in Wayne were reportedly gone through sometime during the night of Nov. 7. A GPS system was stolen from one of the cars.
