'Suspicious' Man at School Was a Student, Cops Say

There was no threat to students and staff of the high school, according to police.

Radnor Police were called to Radnor High School Friday, Feb. 8 at about  8 a.m. for the report of a suspicious man seen entering the school.

Shortly after their arrival, however, it was determined that the man was in fact a school student. He was identified by teachers on surveillance video.

According to Lt. Andrew Block, the teacher did not immediately recognize the student due to his coat and hat, which he was wearing because of the weather.

"At no time was there any type of threat to students and staff of the high school," according to information released by the police department.

"This was in part due to the quick action of the Radnor High School Administration and the response of the Radnor Police Department. If this had been an actual threat or danger to students or staff a Delaware County RSAN message would have been issued immediately."
