Thefts at Eastern, Villanova

Read about recent incidents of theft at local colleges.

 

A number of thefts recently took place at two universities in Radnor Township. The following information was provided by Radnor Township police.

  • A Villanova University-issued laptop computer valued at $1,500 disappeared from the Cor Hall lounge sometime between 3:30 and 7 p.m. on April 26, reported a student. According to the police report, nothing else of value was taken from the lounge. Another student reported seeing a black man in the area around 5:30 p.m. whom she described as being "almost bald" with bad teeth and appearing to be "homeless." He was wearing jeans and carrying a bag with a shoulder strap.

  • A student reported that a Villanova University-owned laptop computer was taken from his backpack from Corr Hall on April 16 sometime between 5:15 p.m. and early the following morning.

 

  • A woman reported that her purse was taken from the lacrosse fields at Eastern University between 12:30 and 1 p.m. on April 21. Inside the purse was an iPhone and a debit card.
