Valley Forge Cadet's Nose Broken in Assault

A cadet at Valley Forge Military Academy suffered a concussion and a broken nose at the hands of another cadet, police report.

On Feb. 20, three cadets were in a room talking about upcoming room changes. A comment was made by one cadet, and in return one cadet gave a "light slap" to the cheek of another, according to a police report.

Subsequently, police report that a cadet started hitting another in the back of his head with the heel of his hand for about five blows and brought his knee up to the cadets head, hitting him in the face and breaking his nose.

It is not clear in the police report which cadet made a comment to start the incident and which gave the light slap.

The injured cadet was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital and later recuperated in the school's infirmary.

A Juvenile Petition was completed on Wednesday, March 6 for the offender for Simple Assault, according to police.
