Wawa Cashier Pocketed Cash, Police Say

The employee has been fired.

 

An employee of the Wawa on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne has admitted to pocketing cash he received at the register, police say.

According to a police report, the 21-year-old man from Devon would ring up a sale, collect the money, put the cash in his pocket, void the sale and give change to the customer from the register.

He has done that on every shift he has worked since December, police report. The now former employee admitted to the thefts and was fired by Wawa.
