Wawa Cashier Pocketed Cash, Police Say

The employee has been fired.

An employee of the Wawa on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne has admitted to pocketing cash he received at the register, police say.

According to a police report, the 21-year-old man from Devon would ring up a sale, collect the money, put the cash in his pocket, void the sale and give change to the customer from the register.

He has done that on every shift he has worked since December, police report. The now former employee admitted to the thefts and was fired by Wawa.

Radnor Patch ISN'T About Radnor Anymore :( February 26, 2013 at 10:43 PM
The police releases & the Patch publishes the name of a minor child.....yet the police do not release &/or the Patch does not publish the name of this 21 year old nor the name of a "retired" RTPD officer. Interesting....confusing.
