A family was home during a Wednesday morning burglary, according to the homeowner.

A “brazen” burglary took place in a North Wayne home on Wednesday morning while the family was in their Fariston Road home.

According to a social media post by the family, passed along in a North Wayne Protective Association email, the burglary took place around 10 a.m.

One adult was in backyard with children while another was inside the home, according to the homeowner's details. A neighbor saw a two-door, orange-colored car parked outside the house, and two men were seen in and around it.

Jewelry was stolen. But, the homeowner said, “The worst part of course is the lingering ...feeling in our gut that our privacy and security has been violated.”

Fariston Road is a small, u-shaped, leafy street off of Radnor Street Road.

“Be vigilant in your own neighborhoods and be on the lookout for suspicious activity,” he added.
