Woman Awoke to Man in Her Bedroom, Police Say

Police received a call at 3 p.m. on January 17 from a woman who said that she awoke to a strange man in her apartment.

Radnor Police are investigating a burglary on Braxton Road in Rosemont.

Police received a call at 3 p.m. on January 17 from a woman who said that she awoke to a strange man in her apartment.

The woman told police that she awoke to the sound of someone in her hallway. She then saw a man standing in the doorway to her bedroom. She said she screamed at the man, who then left the apartment.

The man is described as 5'4" to 5'7" in height with a medium build. His race is unknown. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police found partial footprints on a window leading to the apartment. Deck furniture had been moved up against the house in front of the window, according to the police report.

A Haverford Police dog established a track that ended in a yard on County Line Road.

Hello Radnor PD. Reading about this 10 days later on Patch. If you want to catch a criminal, you may want to alert the community.

The headline for this article is sensationalistic and incorrect according to the information given. Per the article, the intruder was never in her bedroom. She awoke to a stranger in her apartment who at some point stood in her bedroom doorway. There are two accounts of what the police said. What did they actually say? I'm not used to seeing such discrepancy and shock value headlines in Patch. It is disappointing.
