Delaware County Approves Budget

The 2013 budget includes a 2.8% tax increase.

The Delaware County Council approved the 2013 budget, which calls for a 2.8% tax rate increase, reports The Delaware County Daily Times.

The proposed spending plan is for $330 million.  This would mean a millage rate increase of 0.15 mils, or 2.8 percent, for an overall millage rate of 5.452.

The most costly aspects of the budget are the 911 Center and the county-owned Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Middletown.  Read more from The Delaware County Daily Times.
