Delco Council Approves 2.8 Percent Tax Hike

Delaware County Council approves the 2014 budget.

Delaware County residents will see a 2.8 percent tax hike following Delaware County Council's unanimous approval of the 2014 budget on Wednesday, according to the Delaware County Daily Times

The $336 million budget calls for a millage rate of 5.604 mills, which is an increase of 0.152 mills. A taxpayer with an average assessed home of $134,200 would generate a county property tax of $752.05, which is a $20.40 increase, according to the Delco Times.
