Earned Income Tax Killed in T/E

The Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board voted down the proposal.

For the second time in just over a year, the Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board has voted to kill a controversial proposal to impose a one percent earned income tax (EIT) to help close a projected budget deficit.

In 2009 Easttown Township's Board of Supervisors discussed but did not implement an EIT. The school district would have had the option to share the revenue from that tax had it been implemented.
