Flags To Be Dedicated In Honor of Black History Month

Emlen Tunnell, an NFL Hall of Fame inductee and a decorated veteran of World War II, will be commemorated.

Radnor Township will hold a dedication ceremony February 19 to commemorate Radnor native Emlen Tunnell. The public is invited to attend the event.

In honor of Black History Month, a new flag pole and flags will be dedicated in his name.

Tunnell, who grew up in the Garrett Hill section of the township, is an NFL Hall of Fame inductee and a decorated veteran of World War II. He was the first black player to join the New York Giants' football team.
