Radnor Township and Radnor Fire Company offer some tips.

Radnor Township is advising its property owners to prepare for a possible impact from Hurricane Irene on Sunday.

The township and Radnor Fire Company have gathered some tips on how to prepare for a hurricane.

The fire company discourages people from traveling in the storm unless it is an emergency. If you are on the road during the storm, here are a few flood-prone intersections to avoid:

Highland Ave. and W. Wayne Ave. (Under Radnor Trail Bridge)
Lancaster Ave. and Eagle Rd.

Old Eagle School Rd. & Strafford Ave. (Strafford Train Station)
Popular Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave.
S. Wayne Ave. between School Ln. and Windermere Ave.

For gas emergencies, call Philadelphia Gas Works at (215) 235-1212

For broken streetlights call the Township at (610) 688-5600

For a fallen tree or limb that is blocking access to a street, call 9-1-1
