Local Students Nominated to Service Academies

Nominees are selected based on factors such as academic achievements, leadership skills and extracurricular activities.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Meehan (PA-07) announced that 36 area high school students have received nominations to one of the United States Service Academies. They include

Timothy Bell of was nominated to the United States Naval Academy and Caitlin Sullivan of was nominated to the United States Air Force Academy.

“It is my privilege to nominate these fine young men and women to our U.S. Service Academies – some of the finest academic institutions in the world,” said Meehan.

The nomination from Meehan does not guarantee admission to a service academy.
